We’re delighted to share joyful news from the Carrier family! Shane and Katie Carrier are expecting a baby girl this August.
After thoughtful consideration, they’ve chosen to name her Lola Katherine Carrier, a name rich with family history and heartfelt meaning. Lola is named in honor of Katie’s beloved great-grandmother, Ladislia Kalas – affectionately known as “Great Busia” to her relatives, and “Lola” to others. Great Busia was a remarkable woman known for her warmth, wit and extraordinary talent as a seamstress. Her legacy of love lives on through generations of family traditions and cherished heirlooms.
While Shane and Katie eagerly prepare to welcome their daughter, one lighthearted debate remains unresolved … Lola’s future baseball allegiance! Katie, a proud Chicago native, is pulling for the White Sox, while Shane, an Anaheim native and former Minnesota Twin, is keeping his options open, with a Red Sox compromise on the table.
